A young mother has been left with a horrific head wound after being attacked in the street with a glass bottle.
Yavana Dix was glassed in the late night assault near her home in Sandown, Isle of Wight.
Ms Dix, a carer who has a two-year-old son, was attacked in the early hours of Friday morning and taken to a nearby house where her family tried to stem the bleeding.

She was then taken to the island’s St Mary’s hospital by ambulance where she was given six stitches above her eye. She also suffered bruising in the assault.
Her mother Denise Robinson said: ‘She’s very anxious and scared. She’s not eating, she’s not sleeping. She needs him caught.’
The 20-year-old’s brother Sean has now posted a photo on social media of his sister’s injuries in a bid to find the person responsible.
