JustJazz is excited to present two extraordinary performances at Tin Town Theatre this May.
The African Freedom Principle is a concert series with the express intent to foster new experimental arts and music collaborations that respectfully draw on local, South African cultural legacy to inform new young musicians together with South African veterans of the international jazz scene
The Afrikan Freedom Principle through the JustJazz.ZAR platform aims to highlight the many voices which shape the cultural landscape of the city we know as Johannesburg. In the upcoming instalment the series will feature Pilani Bubu accompanied by Thami Mahlangu (Tenor Saxophone), Xoliswa Mjekula (Backing Vocals) and Luke Van Der Merwe (Acoustic & Electric Guitar, Flute & Harp), and Natalia Molebatsi accompanied by Lex Futshane (Bass) and Siphiwe Shiburi (Drums).
Details on the concert
The concert takes place at Tin Town Theatre, 4 Maragaret Mcingane Street, Ferreires Dorp, Johannesburg.
Pilani Bubu’s performance takes place on Friday 7 May at 7pm.
Natalia Molebatsi’s performance takes place on Saturday 8 May at 6pm
